Bio

Mike Maynard will be graduating from the University of Illinois, December 2002.  Mike will be earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and currently holds a GPA of (3.4) Major - Finance / (3.1) Accumulative.

Mike has conquered several achievements and honors while attending the University of Illinois such as being on the Honor Role for the past 2 consecutive years. Mike has also been nominated onto the University of Illinois Dean's List, while being a recipient of the:

1. The Morehouse Scholarship (years: Freshman and Sophomore).

Mike Maynard's professional experience is also impressive as he has recently completed an internship with FDS, or Financial Development Solutions.  Mike has been employed as an "EAFI" or Executive Accounting Financial Intern whose responsibilities ranged from Account Management of a specific client, as well as Project Management duties.  Mike's internship has provided him with specialized skills in regards to the fields of Accounting, Financial Framework Development and Analysis Consulting.  Mike has gained lucrative experience from his internship with particular focus within:

Outside of the work place, Mike enjoys playing Jazz on the weekends as the drummer for his band, Grape Jazz.  Mike also enjoys learning about other cultures and engages in opportunities to travel abroad to countries ranging from Chile, France, Holland, Egypt, Australia and most recently, Singapore.

Mike on the subject of extra-ordinary experiences: "Since I was young my family has encouraged me to play chess.  I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries and play in International Chess Tournaments where upon I have been Internationally ranked as Grand Chess Master in 2000.  This ancient game of strategy has significantly changed my life and has assisted me to constantly think as strategic as possible when engaging in everyday or my professional life.

Last year I also tried sky diving, if this is not an 'extra-ordinary' experience, then nothing is because it simply changes the course and mentality of your life for the better".

Mike's special interest has been with participating with charity drives for New York City's homeless population.  Mike serves on the annual "Stars & Stripes" national fund raiser where he answers phone calls to accept donations from various philanthropists across the nation.
