CPR has contracted an exclusive Magazine Internship program that is perhaps, the most lucrative internship opportunity within CPR's Internship listings.  Best of all this internship has a SUMMER Program as well as ROLLING ADMISSIONS (in case you miss the summer deadline where Interns may start 2 weeks after enrolling into this internship program).  All Interns will be assigned a Manager / Mentor; and this internship is OFF Site and will require you to work 15 - 20 hours.  See specs for what kind of Software you will need to facilitate the internships involved with the magazine: Prospective Graphic Art Design Interns and Business Analyst Interns read specs below:

There are currently 2 separate internships being offered: (Ad Design & Business Analyst):

     1.  Advertising Graphic  Art Design Interns -
         Graphic Art & Industrial Design Students ONLY.  Art students who have excellent
         Adobe Photoshop skills may also apply.  / 80 Seats / Nationwide. 
           The magazine needs 80 interns so they may produce their first 4 Sample issues to send to advertisers.

The Executive Magazine Graphic Design Internship Program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to enroll with a start up Magazine who will be hosting a large scale 1 year internship program beginning summer 2006, and is a virtual (off-site) Internship program.  This is a once in a life time opportunity where students and graduates seeking to diversify their experience and education toward Graphic Design & Publishing within the Magazine Industry may do so in 12 weeks!

Graphic Design Internship Will Cover:  Graphic Design Interns will be given an Ad Designs Binder (portfolio of Magazine Print Ads) where they will need to RE-Construct & Design Magazine Page Ads & Layouts (between 45 - 60 pages during the course of the internship). All Interns will need to organize their graphics files, submit all work to their Manager / Mentors and will be required to use Adobe Photoshop Knowledge of Adobe CS2 is a plus. Internship will provide: Excellent Experience for You and Your Creative Portfolio!  Publisher will evaluate all Interns work and will hire the best interns for permanent employment prior to premier launch. Using Adobe CS2 is optional in this internship, however, those interns who will use CS2 will be given greater consideration for hiring.  Budget for hiring is 2 - 3 Graphic Design Artists. 

NOTE: Students MUST have access to Photoshop. Access to a flat bed Scanner / High Pixel Resolution Digital Camera is also needed. Software will NOT be supplied to Interns.  Interns who do NOT have access to Adobe CS2 will be required to work on 60 Advertising Designs and will submit all graphics to their Mentor / Manager.  Interns who have access to CS2 will work on 45 Ad Designs and design the layout of the Ads in CS2.

Open to Graphic Art and or Industrial Design Students only, however, Art majors who are fluent with using Photoshop may also apply.  This opportunity will provide you with an impressive amalgamation of Project  Management duties, responsibilities and Magazine Design experience with a firm concentration within Magazine & Print Media Graphic Art Design.


     2.  Business Analyst Interns - Open to all majors.  Ideal for Business Majors.

The Executive Magazine Business Analyst Internship offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to enroll with a Start Up Las Vegas City Magazine.  This is internship is off site and will require a minimum of 15 - 20 hours per week of your time (around your schedule) where projects will cover a variety of Marketing, Advertising, Logistics, Business Analysis and a small I.T. related project.

Business Analyst Internship Will Cover:  Advertising Reconnaissance (researching ideal advertisers to send Media Kits), HR Budgeting project (figure HR budget for employees), Logistics Project (how to creatively distribute the magazine in Las Vegas) and researching and sending a Reciprocal Links Proposal (Web Marketing Project)  Training and Mentoring Provided.  Excellent Experience.

This opportunity will provide you with an impressive amalgamation of Business Analysis Project Management duties, and projects pertaining to Advertising / Marketing / and Business Analysis.

 
Internship Specs CPR Program Specs
  • Graphic Art Majors should only apply to the Graphic Art Internship.  All other majors may apply to the Business Analyst Internship.

  • All interns should be organized with strong Analytical Skills.

  • 100% Acceptance Rate (First come; first serve basis).  No interview required contingent with  the CPR Program. [review right column]

  • 80 Design Interns can be accepted to the Graphic Design Internship.  No more than 20 Analyst Interns will be accepted for the Business Analyst Internship.

  • Both Internships will be clarified in a week by week, project by project, step by step methodology.

  • Both Internships will be offered until October of 2006.

  • Both Internships are virtual (off site) Internships. 

  • All Interns will work an average of 15 hours per week around their schedules.

  • Interns will be provided with Mentor / Managers who will be responsible to monitor interns performances and answer questions.

Projects Details:

Once you register for either internship you will receive an Orientation Package from your Manager / Mentor in the mail.  This particular internship will supply you with an Audio CD that will help you stay organized and will assist to help you start your internship on the right track.
  • Graphic Ad Design Internship

All Graphic Art Design Interns will be assigned to design 45 - 60 print ad pages (quantity depends on if you will have access to Adobe CS2 or not) of the Magazine using varied Visual Software such as Photoshop.  Each Intern will be assigned different Ads to work on which will deal with making Ads pertaining to: Luxury Goods / Services similar to the Robb Report Magazine.

  • Business Analyst Internship

Interns will have a total of 4 projects that will deal with: Marketing & Advertising, Financial Analysis (HR Budget Modeling), Logistics Project and a Reciprocal Links Proposal Project (deals with Internet Marketing).

Very limited number of seats available for the Business Analyst Internship; enrollment is on a first come first serve basis.  A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.

Training and Mentoring Provided for the Business Analyst Internship.
